The Deerfield is an historic building located at 676 Riverside Drive in Harlem, New York.

The D.T.A is a non profit association. The mission of the Deerfield Tenants' Association is to present a united voice of the Deerfield tenants, preserve the integrity of this historic building, and provide support to all tenants who are not getting the services they are entitled to from the management/ownership of our building.

D.T.A works directly on building wide issues, however we are happy to provide recommendations to tenants for their particular circumstances, as well form alliances with other tenant's associations to exchange experiences and information.

So are you looking into living in Chicago? Well there are plenty of options to keep you busy and not ho humming around the house. Chicago is one of the most invigorating and diverse entertainment cities in the world. Chicago is at the epicenter for art movements, blues music greats, and many festivals, you'll never run out of things to do in Chicago. Chicago spaorts with professional sports alone three teams. These include their two baseball teams the Chicago White sox and the Chicago Cubs. Both teams have been excellent performers and are a great way to spend time with the family. There is also the Chicago Bears which also are quit entertaining. However enven if you are not a sports buff there is a multitude of activities and jobs to do in Chicago. With the multicultural environment of workers like visiting Saudi Arabia, the human experience is a blast!

Chicago has many other entertainment venues. There are places such as Second city which is tuck under amid nationally known restaurants in Old Town, Second City is a world recognized comedy venue and is where many famous comedians’ started out. Some of the more well know comedians' include Chris Farley, John Candy, Mike Myers, Shelly Long, Bill Murray and Steve Carell. A portion of the draw to Second City shows is the setting. The Main stage seats just shy of three-hundred.The Second City e.t.c. has a capacity of one-hundred and eighty persons at a time. There is also a smaller third theater, right next door in Piper’s Alley, it is operated by the Second City Training Center. In addition Donny’s Skybox Studio Theatre is where up and coming comic students direct, write and perform their original material in a test of the worth of their wit and humor. For the best humor in Chicago, there is not a place in the mid-west better to go than this generations old landmark of side splitting laughs can't be heard though. There are many other entertainment attractions you will like in Chicago such as the Blue Man Group which have been entertaining audiences with their off the wall performances and humor for over a decade at the Briar Street Theatre. You can not predict what is next with their inventive, presentations, but rest assured you will be blown away by the peculiar and creative exhibitions performed by the three blue painted entertainers. Blending props, lights, music and elements such as water, fire and wind, the straight faced entertainers perform the most engaging and intriguing act in the whole city.

Briar Street Theatre began was once a simple stable and carriage house for Marshall Fields, in the early twentieth century. However now over one-hundred years later the structure was converted into a sound stage for a motion picture production company. During the years of 1977 and 1985 the building was used as a post production office, however that is when its time as serving the Chicago film making companies came to an end. The historic site was converted into a live performance theater in the 1990's and is currently is the beloved home of the ever popular blue men.

The new ownership of the building, is disrupting the lives of the Deerfield tenants with the hope to driving them out. Read below about one of NYC's 10 Worst Landlords, Margaret Streicker Porres of Newcastle Realty Services.
The building was without gas from August 23rd 2006 until March 2007, there were holes in our apartments , dust, asbestos, lead paint, intermittent hot water, broken elevators, broken doors, the repairs have been slow and inconsistent.
